Services

individual and marriage counseling

Though each of our clinicians have different approaches and certifications, all of our clinicians are trauma-informed Christians who seek to integrate the Word of God with science-backed modalities, including (but not limited to): Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Grief Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Each clinician’s modality and certifications are listed on our Counselors page.

Group Counseling

Tapestry Counseling now offers group counseling! Our Common Threads Community Group is based on the Confessional Community Group model developed by Curt Thompson, MD. Using a story-telling liturgy, participants are led to discover how their experiences shape their understanding of the world and explore them in a supportive group setting. Participants learn to:

  • Foster an environment where members feel seen, soothed, safe, and secure (the 4 S’s of secure attachment)

  • Embrace healthy vulnerability

  • Listen, attune, and contain each other’s stories with heartfelt responses

  • Grow in receptivity of love from others

  • Repair relational ruptures
