Krissie Garland is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. For over 8 years, Krissie has counseled with people of all ages and from all different backgrounds. Her formal training and experience has prepared her to work with individuals, marriages, families, and groups. She has worked with ACH Child and Family Services, The Women’s Shelter, Alliance for Children, and she has started and directed several church counseling centers.
Krissie has clinical interest and experience in helping individuals and families with problems such as depression, anxiety, anger, life skills, parenting styles, stress management, and grief and loss. Krissie has an extensive background working with abused women and trauma victims, children (through play therapy), teens, and couples.
Krissie has a heart for people who are hurting. Her goal is to encourage and empower individuals and families with the spiritual truths God has given them and to teach them how to integrate those truths into their everyday lives. Her approach is to meet people where they are and to work with them to reach their emotional, relational and spiritual goals.
Krissie is a member of Christian Counselors of Texas and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
